We are extremely pleased to announce our new Auto-DRL kit for Saab 9-3 models from model year 2008 to 2014, based on the DRL setup used by NEVS on their 2014 Saab 9-3 model.

This kit differs significantly from the one previously sold by Hedin Parts/Orio, both in design and functionality.

First and foremost, our kit is completely plug-and-play, whereas the Hedin Parts kit required modifications and cutting to the fog-light surrounds. This also means that our kit is fully reversible. Furthermore, neither their kit nor the 2014 NEVS vehicles featured automatic DRL functionality.

EU regulations generally do not permit DRLs to remain illuminated together with the low-beam headlights. Our kit automatically controls the lights to ensure that they operate correctly and in accordance with these requirements.

So, what’s included in this kit?

• Brand new DRL lights (L+R) (same as the ones that NEVS used on the 9-3 Aero MY14)
• Plug-and-play adapter (wiring harness) for the DRLs
• Custom-designed mounting brackets (L+R) for the DRLs (designed in CAD, based on the original NEVS-file, no cutting involved to make the DRLs fit)
• Screws for the DRL lights + brackets
• The correct light switch for Auto-DRL
• The correct rain sensor for Auto-DRL
• A new connector for the new rain sensor
• Programming device (does not need to be constantly connected to the car, only during the one-time programming session)
• Instructions
• Shipping

The required software is installed using the included programming device.
Please note: The programming device becomes permanently locked to the first vehicle it is connected to and is intended for one-time use only.

The programming includes:

• LED programming – eliminates flickering and bulb-error messages.
• Auto-DRL programming – enables fully automatic DRL functionality, a feature that is not currently available to customers elsewhere. Even the MY2014 NEVS Saab 9-3 vehicles did not include this functionality.

1. In the Auto position, the car will use the eyebrow lights together with the lower DRLs during the day. At night, it will automatically switch to the eyebrow lights together with the low-beam headlights.

2. This automatic function can be overridden by moving the light switch from the “Auto” position to “2″ at the top. In this position, the eyebrow lights and low-beam headlights will remain on whenever the car is running.
